How to Assemble Your Shed

Your Elitrova shed arrives flat-packed with everything you need and a step-by-step instruction manual from the manufacturer. Assembly is straightforward with two people and basic tools. Here's how to prepare.

Before you start

  • Check your parts. Unpack carefully and check every part against the parts list in your manual before you begin. If anything is missing or damaged, contact us before starting assembly.
  • Two people. Most sheds need two adults – especially for walls, roof panels and doors.
  • Pick a calm, dry day. Panels can catch the wind, so avoid assembling in strong wind or rain.
  • Tools. Typically a cordless drill/driver, spirit level, tape measure, step ladder and a rubber mallet. Your manual lists exactly what's needed.

1. Prepare a level base

Every shed needs a firm, flat and level base slightly larger than the shed footprint – concrete, paving slabs or a purpose-made shed base all work well. A level base keeps doors aligned and the shed weather-tight. Leave around 60 cm clearance on each side for assembly and access.

2. Build the floor and walls

Lay out the floor panels on your base first, then raise the wall panels one at a time as shown in your manual, securing each before moving to the next. Check corners are square as you go.

3. Fit the roof

Fit the roof supports and panels in the order shown, making sure each panel locks or screws fully into place so the roof stays watertight.

4. Doors, windows and finishing

Hang the doors last and adjust the hinges until they open and close smoothly. Fit any windows, shelving and accessories, then anchor the shed to its base using the fixings recommended in your manual.
